Botevgrad

Ensemble "Botevgrad" (Bulgaria) was created in 1963. The beginning and the artistic development of the ensemble are associated with the name of the art director Vassil Terziiski. He attracted a lot of young people, inspire them to love the Bulgarian folklore dance and teach them to be responsible and ambitious artists. The high performing level and rich repertoire of the ensemble performances make it desired participant in prestigious cultural events. In 1974 the Ensemble achieved its first gold medal success of the fifth national festival of amateur art. On the sixth festival again won a gold medal and the title of "representative". These achievements are confirmed at the next national festivals in 1984 and 1989. In year 2006 the ensemble participates in international folklore festival "Danube Carnival" in Budapest. Since 2007 the artistic director and choreographer of the ensemble is Stoyan Stoyanov. The biggest success of the ensemble was in 2007 - participation in the international festival "Agropoli", Italy, where he took first place for choreography.
